WASHINGTON, D.C. – Randall Roe, former Vice Chairman of Burns and Roe Enterprises (BRE), founded in 1932, has joined WastAway’s Board of Directors and will provide leadership and strategic guidance as the company expands into new power markets for its clean solid fuel products derived from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).
“Randall Roe brings both a wealth of experience and a level of industry knowledge that will have tremendous benefit for us,” said Mark Brown, WastAway’s Chief Executive Officer. “Recent rigorous testing of our high-Btu fuel is opening many doors for us in the industrial and public power generation industries. Randall will be invaluable in helping us understand how we can best serve those markets.”
Roe also pointed to the years of research and thorough testing of WastAway’s fuel as solid proof of the company’s legitimacy in the industry. “I’ve paid close attention to what this company has been doing for several years,” Roe said. “They have invested heavily in several rounds of testing and analysis to provide users with a superior solid fuel product that it is consistent, safe and dependable for deployment as a sustainable substitute for fossil fuels in all sorts of boiler operations.”
As Vice Chairman of BRE, Roe helped build the privately held international engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance company to over 1200 personnel, serving private and governmental clients in the power, industrial and government service sectors.
He is a member of the board of directors of the U.S. Energy Association and formerly served on the board of the Nuclear Energy Institute. He received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University and his M.B.A from George Washington University.
